Sketching from Asterix

I was reading Asterix comics, when I just had the sudden idea to copy some random things from it.
Will it work like I learned from the Marvel comic how-to book?
I was very surprised by the results:

I could copy a face of a cartoon character before. But a full body copy was something I've always tried to avoid. Now that I am using stick figures first, it's not a big problem anymore. Even in the case of a whole composition (like in the case of Vitalstatistix: 2 persons carrying him on a shield) works like a charm!
