Sketching at the port

I went out to the Maritime Museum of Rotterdam to sketch some interesting machinery - they have plenty there. For today I chose this nice little train:

First I pencilled the basic shapes to be okay with the perspective. Then I sketched the details with a fineliner right away. It took about 2,5 hours which I managed on the spot. I did the painting at home within half an hour.
